VISION 2025: MADE TO MULTIPLY
MADE TO MULTIPLY
Without vision, we drift. But when God gives us a vision: a picture in our head and a fire in our heart, we are motivated and focused and come alive. From the beginning, God’s purpose was for us to live in intimate relationship with Him and in close fellowship with one another, so we could be fruitful and multiply. In a fallen world, He now redeems and reconciles us through a renewed command: make disciples of all nations. We were made to multiply.
God’s vision for Grace is bigger than any one of us. It’s about multiplying disciples, raising up leaders, and seeing San Diego transformed by Jesus. As this truth presses on us, we come to see multiplication not just as a strategy, but as God’s heartbeat for His people. What if any Grace Church member could be dropped anywhere in the world and reproduce everything Jesus commanded? Anyone. Anywhere. Everything. ACTS 2 DISCIPLE-MAKERS
The Church is the only organization in the world that does not exist to serve its members, but rather to serve the world. As church members, we are to be relentlessly focused outward on multiplying disciples. We take Jesus’s command to make disciples seriously - we are ALL disciple-makers. The disciples in Acts 2 were devoted to the word, the table, the mission and prayer. This means training people up for discipleship and ministry. The structure we use for disciple-making at Grace Church is House Church and Huddle.

BE WITH JESUS, BECOME LIKE JESUS
Jesus’s strategy was to pour his time and wisdom into people who would be with him, become like him, and do what He did. In other words, a disciple is someone who is following Jesus, being changed by Jesus, and committed to the mission of Jesus.
We can’t multiply disciples without first being with Jesus and learning to live how he lived.

GOD’S HEART FOR THE NATIONS
Once we see ourselves as disciple-makers and apprentice ourselves to Jesus, the mission to take the Good News to the nations is exciting and urgent. Vision Series Sermon #4 emphasized that making and multiplying disciples always leads to bearing fruit among that nations.
What drives us to participate in missions is not guilt, but glory. We want to see God glorified in every heart in every nation. Participating in the mission of God is a gift.
