Middle and high school students will attend summer camp on separate weeks this year. Middle school camp will take place from June 21 - 27, 2026. High school camp will take place from July 5 - 11, 2026.

We are attending Hume Christian Camps, two beautiful camps nestled in the San Bernardino and Sierra Nevada mountains. Hume is widely considered to be one of the premier Christian camp organizations in North America. For 7 days and 6 nights, your student will experience meaningful, Gospel-centered teaching, powerful worship, high-energy games and activities, and hours of free time to build lifelong connections and friendships.

Our middle school group will attend Hume SoCal, and our high school group is currently on the waitlist to attend Hume Lake Ponderosa. If those spots do not open up this year, our high school group will also attend Hume SoCal.

Summer camp is consistently the most powerful and important week of the year in youth ministry. The impact of just one week at camp is equivalent to nearly an entire year of programming. God truly does incredible things in the lives of students when they dedicate time to set aside worldly distractions and focus on their faith surrounded by a loving community in God’s beautiful creation. Because of this, we know that summer camp is worth the investment. With this in mind, there are three main reasons for the switch:

1. Longer and more intentional camp experience — Hume offers a full week of camp (two full days longer than before), which gives students more precious time to build relationships, engage deeply in small groups, and experience God without rushing.

2. Excellent, Christ-centered programming — Hume provides the highest-quality teaching, worship, rec, and cabin times designed to keep students engaged all week long. Their staff is gifted at creating fun environments that also lead to genuine spiritual formation.

3. Separate middle school and high school weeks — This change allows us to give each age group a camp experience tailored specifically to their maturity and needs in their discipleship journey. We want both groups to have their own space, and Hume makes that possible.

We’re incredibly grateful for the experiences our youth group has had at Campus by the Sea these past two summers. It’s been a meaningful place for our ministry and we don’t take that lightly, but we confidently believe that Hume will provide an even better experience for our students.

The total cost for each student is $849, however we expect that no one will have to pay that full amount on their own. In fact, students may even have the opportunity to have up to their entire cost of camp covered. Here are the multiple options to lower that financial cost:

• Camperships - Hume offers generous scholarship so that students can experience the power of God’s work at summer camp. You will apply for a campership during the registration process with Hume, and they will cover up to half the cost of camp depending on your application.

• Scholarships - Thanks to the generosity of Grace Church, we will also provide scholarships to students to alleviate the financial burden for our youth families. After registering and applying for a campership, you will have the opportunity to apply for one of these scholarships, which may cover a significant portion of your student’s camp cost.

• Fundraisers - We are hosting multiple fundraising events throughout the year to raise money that will go directly towards covering the cost of camp. These fundraisers include pancake breakfast, envelope fundraiser, bake sales, bingo night, and others. The more your students volunteer to participate, the more these fundraisers will cover.

• Individual Fundraising - We expect that Camperships, Scholarships, and Church-Sponsored Fundraising will all cover a significant portion of the camp cost, but your student is also welcome and encouraged to raise money for camp on their own.

Though the price tag for camp is higher than years past, the camp is two nights longer and offers better value per-night than previous camps. Most importantly, we know that this will be an even more powerful week for your student. We cannot undersell it, summer camp is by far the most influential experience of the entire year for our student ministry, and it is worth every penny. God works in invaluable, indescribable ways at camp.

REGISTRATION IS OPEN NOW and closes on January 31! Please register your student as soon as possible. Spots are limited and camperships and scholarships are distributed on a rolling basis, so the sooner you register, the better.

1. Register your students on Church Center for either the middle or high school summer camp. (Current 8th grade students will attend the high school camp this summer)

2. Complete your student’s registration in Hume’s registration portal. You will be sent a link to that site in your confirmation email. During that process, make sure you apply for a campership!

3. If you would like to apply for scholarships through Grace Church, complete the Scholarship Application Form
