Involvement in the band includes a mid-week rehearsal and playing during Sunday morning services.

First Impressions

The role of the First Impressions team is to ensure that Grace San Diego has a welcoming environment. From the moment people drive onto campus, this team ensures that everyone feels welcome and knows they have found a safe place.  These volunteers serve our attending community and visitors by assisting them in one of the following avenues: the parking lot, greeting them as they enter the building, ushering them to their seats, helping with the offering during the services, and providing information.

worship-parking team - 1Parking Team- The Parking Team directs traffic into our parking lots and surrounding parking area. Because parking at Grace is limited and hard to navigate, the Parking Team is essential to ensure that people feel comfortable and welcome.

worship-greeting team - 1Greeters- The Greeters welcome our attending community and visitors at the entrances around the buildings. This is a friendly, interactive ministry and plays a key role in making people feel welcome. Volunteers serve with hand shakes, hospitality and smiles.

worship - usher team - 1Ushers- The ushers welcome our atttending community and visitors inside the building. They help people find seats and assist in taking the offering. This is a friendly, interactive ministry that greatly impacts creating a warm, welcoming environment. ("usher"...get it?)

first impressions lanyardInfo Hub Team- The Info Hub is our central communication area. This team greets people as they walk onto campus and answers all questions ranging from "Where is the nursery?" to "Where are the bathrooms?" This is a very people oriented position and is the place where both long time attenders and first time visitors can find answers to questions about different ministry opportunities, events, campus layout, etc. Volunteers assist both before and after Sunday Services. No, you don't have to know everything about the church already. Training and information will be supplied to volunteers.

worship - coffee cart - 1Coffee Cart Team- The Coffee Cart Team serves our church community in one of the most fun and non-conventional ways--by making fantastic drinks! This unique ministry is a great way to meet people and make them feel right at home. The Cart offers specialty coffees and blended drinks as well as muffins and "snack foods." No experience required. We will provide all training necessary for you to become a rockin' barista.
