Missionaries - Jonathan & Indira Maraj

April 2009
Dear Friends,
Time seems to fly so quickly. It is hard to believe that we will be on the road when you this letter. We want to lift the Name of our Mighty God and our Savior high as we greet you once again from American soil.
Please accept our thanks for your part in our ministry. We praise the Lord for each one of you. We are amazed at the provision of our Faithful God, not only for our finances, but also for the prayers of the saints that surround us as we come across unanticipated circumstances. We know that the Lord is answering your prayers.
We had an awesome two months in Trinidad, Jonathan’s homeland. The churches there are asking us to return soon and for a longer time. We are willing to do that if the Lord wants us to.
We were planning on going to Malaysia via India this spring. After much discussion and prayer about our immediate and future plans, we decided to visit the Midwest and Alaska this spring and summer, then leave for Malaysia at the end of August. This way we can have a longer time in India and Malaysia. Brother Andrew whom God is using mightily with the migrant ministry in Malaysia wrote: (unedited)
Pastor Jonathan/Indera,
Your visiting schedule on Sept looks splendid with us as incidently we will be holding our regular discipleship camp on that month which starts from 19-21st. It’s a Muslim Ramandan holiday and most of the factory will be closed.
It can be arrange for the pastors to go for a retreat, a time of reflection and bonding. The last time we did it was about 3 years ago, recall you’re our camp speaker, just for a day. It’s achually very rushing as many finds difficulty staying for a longer period.
Late last year, MMK core group did went for a 3 days 2 nite supposingly fast and prayer retreat, but many comes struggle abstaining even for a meal. Dispite our weakness something good comes out of it, after studying the migrants religious demographic distribution, abot 65-70% are of M faith. We decide to embark on refugee community work such as teaching the refugee kids and raise up more prayer partners.
Once in Malaysia, we would be involved with the migrants and the pastors that are being trained. There are a few churches that are inviting us to come and minister to them too. We will be traveling quite a bit. This would include the required trips at the end of every month to Bangkok and Singapore to renew our visas for Malaysia. The Malaysian government gives us visas for just one month at a time. In Bangkok and Singapore, there are also opportunities to teach and encourage the migrants there.
Our tentative Itinerary, the Lord willing:
March to middle of June: the Midwest
June to August: Alaska
September to December: India and Malaysia
January to March: back to Trinidad
We appreciate each of you and remember you in our prayers. If you write to us by regular mail, we will not get your letters until we return to Seattle the middle of June. It would be best to email us at either or . We will do our best to keep in touch. Please do not send any attachments as we have trouble downloading them. May the Lord bless you.
Our prayers and love,
Jonathan and Indira Maraj
