“He look all da peopo, an he get love an aloha an pity fo dem, cuz dey all worn out inside an no can help demself. Dey jalike da sheeps dat no mo one sheep farma fo take care dem. So den he tell his guys, ‘Eh, da peopo, jalike da crop. Get plenny crop fo bring inside, but no mo nuff worka guys fo do um. Dass why you guys gotta aks da boss guy who own da crop fo send da worka guys fo bring um in.’ ”
Matthew 9:36-38 in Hawaii Pidgin

Thank God that in these days we can celebrate His raising His Son from the dead so that we can know Him.

For the week ending March 6, 2010, the Honolulu Advertiser reported that the number 4 best seller in Honolulu was Da Jesus Book.

That is the 17th time it has been on the Best Seller List. We think maybe it was because a major documentary about Hawaii Pidgin had just been shown on public television in Hawaii, and it mentioned Da Jesus Book.

2 Kings has recently been approved by Wycliffe's Bible translation consultant. It and Deuteronomy will soon join the other thirteen Old Testament books that are on the internet (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Ruth, 1 Kings, Ezra, Nehemiah, Esther, Isaiah, Daniel, Amos, Jonah, Malachi). You can click on http://www.pidginbible.org, and then click on Read da Bible to choose from Da Jesus Book or Da Befo Jesus Book items that you want to look at.

Please keep praying for the seven Huichol Old Testament translators in Mexico. Joe hopes to go back soon for another workshop session to consult with them. You can listen to the Huichol New Testament by clicking on http://www.hantla.com/huichol.

Aloha in Christ,

Joe and Barbara Grimes
