Daniel 6:26-27 in Hawaii Pidgin semi-final draft.
A Christian on Kaua`i Island, Hawaii, has put out a Hawaii Pidgin tract. You can get copies by contacting her at . They cost 39 cents each, or less for more copies.
We continue working on Da Befo Jesus Book, on Deuteronomy, Jeremiah, 1 Samuel, 1 Chronicles, and Ezekiel. We are also now working with Janet Ohta doing final readings of the 14 books that have already been approved by the Wycliffe consultant, just to be sure everything is clear. We have finished Ruth, Esther, Jonah, and Malachi.
Please pray for Ryo Stanwood. He is a new member of Wycliffe Bible Translators, and has worked with us as a volunteer on translation of the Bible into Hawaii Pidgin ever since we started in 1988. He was born and raised in Hawaii, and is now back here to find partners who are willing to pray for him and support him financially. Please let us know if you want to help him.
Praise God with us that Joe's cataract surgery on his second eye has also taken away his glaucoma. So now it is gone from both eyes. And also please praise God that my annual tests have shown that I am still cancer free! Now it is four years.
Please continue to pray for the five Huichol men in Mexico who are translating the Old Testament into their own language. The next training workshop for them is planned for January 2009. You can now listen to the whole Huichol New Testament at: http://www.hantla.com/huichol
Many thanks for praying for all of these things.
Aloha in Christ,
Joe and Barbara
