Dear friends,
The weather reminds me that Summer Ministries have begun. Soon the camping programs and different Bible Clubs will be in full swing. Praise God fro all of you who helped make this a reality.
Last year we marveled at how God answered our prayers as we heard the reports from our summer workers and also from the parents of kids who returned home from camp changed from within. That is, they became new creations in Christ. After the fall and winter follow up ministries, most are still growing in the Lord and will be returning this summer for more fun, fellowship and learning experiences.
The music ministry continues to grow as more and more young composers explore their writing gifts and musicians are recording using the equipment we have been providing over the years. It is an encouragement to see how the music is taking on a truly Slavic character in sound and emotion. We will be putting some of this new music on our web site soon, God willing.
Ann and I had the privilege of being in Israel for a few days and it was life changing to say the least. I was so thrilled to meet several Russian Israelis and just talk with them about life and culture. Many were excited to learn about our website and what is available for them. We have some books written just for Jewish people. They were also intrigued to learn we have audio theater they can listen to.
Our lives are changed since we returned. We also have a different perspective of our calling and a new excitement in the ministry. God has given us this magnificent tool with the Internet and we are using it to spread the Gospel of Salvation. I truly believe that the Internet broadcasting is reaching more and more needy souls for the Lord.
The ongoing project of copying archive radio programs from the past is going very well. It is a slow task and very labor intensive as many of the tapes are starting to deteriorate. We have many who are interested in having these materials.
As we visit different churches and meet with people who have a burden for the Slavic Peoples, we are aware that time is short. The enemy is at work but we have the victory because God said so. Ann and I need to raise up and army of prayer warriors who will band together, praying for the media ministries of SMS International. The fields are ripe unto harvest and the laborers are working.
Pray for strength, health, and finances as we continue ministering together to the Slavic Peoples, not just in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus but also worldwide.
